Position Type: Fulltime, Non-Exempt
Reports To: Production Manager
What you’ll contribute.
Produce custom components, such as store fixtures, office equipment, cabinets, or high-grade furniture
Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials requirements
Review blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences
Set up or operate machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, tenoners, molders, or shapers, to cut, mold, or shape wood stock or wood substitutes
Install hardware, such as hinges, handles, catches, or drawer pulls, using hand tools
Trim, sand, or scrape surfaces or joints to prepare articles for finishing
What you bring to the table.
3+ Years of relevant experience in cabinet making or similar field
Meticulous attention to detail and organization
Ability to understand measurements, verify dimensions, and check the fit of pieces to adhere to the project
Knowledge of materials and processing
Applicable engineering and design skills
Exemplary in reading and understanding floors plans/elevations, blueprints, and other relevant construction documentation
Self-starter capable of working with little supervision
Motivated, flexible, dependable, excellent problem-solving skills
Knowledge of commercial interior design, building construction, and casework/display construction along with materials and method.
Exceptional communicator – capable of conveying complex terminology both written and orally
Must have own hand tools
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, walk, and stand for long periods of time; up to 10 hours per day
Valid Driver’s License; willing to travel to customer locations (contiguous US) as needed
Must be available to work overtime, as required; which includes some weekends and/or holidays
MusT be able to pass pre-employment drug and background screening
